Growing up in Minnesota, I never drank wine. But moving to the Bay Area 3 years ago opened up a whole new world of “La Vino(a) Loca” for me!
I recently became a part of a group in the Valley called the Tri-Valley Tweetup. We are people who live in Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, or Danville and looking to connect with other locals using Twitter for business or pleasure! (And we go under the hashtag #trivalleytweetup)
Last night our Tweetup was at Tenuta Vineyards in Livermore, CA. Tenuta’s motto is, “Give us 30 minutes and we will be friends for life.” And they are absolutely right!

What I found to be the most captivating about Tenuta Vineyards is the fact that they are the 3rd largest winery in Livermore, (behind Wente Vineyards and Concannon Vineyard) but yet they only employ 3 full time staff. Volunteers make up a large portion of what is done and accomplished around the Vineyard.
We were fortunate enough to have a full tour and we did Barrel Tasting with 4 different Red Wines, which will be available in August! I can’t wait to go back to Tenuta Vineyards!

Tenuta Vineyards could not have been complete without my first introduction to a few people I’ve eagerly been waiting to meet – all of whom I met in the Social Media space. And again, it’s when you take the “online” to the “offline” when Social Media is even more effective!
I’m excited to give the Digital Mention to them all, but today, it’s going to Mr. Adam Walker Cleaveland. Adam is a “30-year-old Minister for Youth & Young Adults, Blogger, networker, designer, husband, student and progressive Presbyterian currently serving the United Methodist Church.”
Not only is Adam a Minister for Youth & Young Adults, but he is also the face behind the Wente Vineyards Twitter. And that’s quite a unique mix! I appreciated meeting and hanging out for a bit with him.
