The Laughing Cow

It laughs. It’s a cow. Big deal. BIG DEAL!

The Laughing Cow

My Top Follow Friday today is indeed The Laughing Cow.

Need I say more about The Laughing Cow?

Just a few more reasons why I follow them and why you should, too:

    1. Snack Joy. So what is this Snack Joy all about? The Laughing Cow wants you to show them how you enjoy your Laughing Cow Cheese by posting photos of it on their Facebook Wall. A great way they engage via the #SnackJoy.
    1. Beyond the Cheese. They don’t just talk about cheese all day! They do a great job with focusing on health, fitness and lifestyle in general. And thus, they will tweet things such as, “What kind of wine pairs best with cheese? Red wine or white wine?” They realize there is more to life than cheese, but that cheese is married perfectly with health, fitness and overall lifestyle.
    1. Passion Drives Inspiration. A Charismatic Laughing Cow behind the Tweets. Enough said!

I’m proud to recommend The Laughing Cow as my Top Follow Friday. Follow them HERE, and then Tweet at them stating, “The goofy fitness-foodie nut @sarahkayhoffman sent me.” I bet that will make them have a #LaughJoy.

Dan Schawbel

Looking for a job and trying to determine your Personal Brand? Look no further than my Top Follow Friday today, Dan Schawbel.

Dan is literallyyears ahead in his game.” At just 26, he:

“Is recognized as a “personal branding guru” by The New York Times, is the Managing Partner of Millennial Branding, LLC, and the leading authority on personal branding. He is the author of the #1 bestselling career book, Me 2.0: Build a Powerful Brand to Achieve Career Success (Kaplan Publishing). Me 2.0 made the New York Times summer reading list for job seekers, was one of three social networking books recommended by Shape Magazine, was the #1 career book of 2009 by The New York Post, is a #1 bestseller in Japan, and is also being translated into French.”

Here are the reasons I follow him
(and why you should, too):

    1. Inspiration. I love his favorite quote, “Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow.”

    1. Content King. We all talk about creating and providing valuable content for our social-space audience. Dan does this constantly and consistently. He stays true to his “Personal Brand” of information on “Personal Branding.” I love that because I know exactly where to go to find that type of information. Some of the recent articles he’s shared via Twitter include: Finding talent: On the hunt for elusive Gen-Y, The β€˜Me’ Generation? & JOB SEARCH: Help Wanted Help: Why Don’t You Have a Job Yet? Value. True value.

    1. Starter Guide. Confused about your Personal Brand and not sure where to dive in? Dan offers up many pieces/articles of free advice to help get you going. Think you know all there is to know? Think again. And then still head there, as he has hints, tips and advice for even “experts.” Something for everyone.

    1. I Trust You on Personal Branding if you say the Big “D.” And by the Big “D” of course I mean “differentiator.” Per my post yesterday, Do You Know Your Personal Brand?, I have been talking about this Personal Brand Differentiation since I was in high school. Dan highlights it in, “Personal Branding Toolkit – Part 2: Portfolios.” He shows some real-life examples and expands upon the importance of it. He even gives examples of portfolios that stand out (now if I can just get him to add mine, my #FollowFriday would magically turn into #FabulousFollowFriday)!

It is critical that we all have a Personal Brand. It’s not just enough for companies to have a brand. A company is only as strong as all the individual “Personal Brands” that make up the company. If your Personal Brand isn’t a strong one, then don’t expect any company to want you building up their own brand! So if you have work to do, and even if you don’t, make sure to #FollowFriday Dan Schawbel!
